After a few days in Limbo (figuratively speaking), the site’s back up. Sorry for the inconvenience!
It originally went down after its original position (in a subdirectory of DianeDuane.com) became problematic due to difficulties with the main website. (Which is also back up, thank heavens, though it still has to have some repair and restoration done after its recent server crash.)
On attempting to restore MK.com from its backups, it turned out that those backups were incomplete and/or corrupt. As a result, we wound up having to restore the site more or less from scratch, via cut-and-paste and other workarounds. This was clumsy and inelegant but at least the site’s pretty much as it was before, and we can now start adding new material.
One caveat: the Door into Starlight news and updates page has suffered some damage in that the subscribe-to-this-page-via-email plugin has been abandoned and is no longer safe to use (and is probably also not in compliance with EU digital privacy law). So if you want to keep up to date with the project’s progress, probably the best way to do that is signing up for the monthly newsletter that goes out via MailChimp. (The previous one is here, if you want to take a look.) To sign up for the newsletter, click here. The next newsletter is due out in a few days. The resuscitated update page also mentions a few other things that are going on, so you might want to take a look at it.
Meanwhile, in the short term there are some other areas where the website needs work, especially now that life at the Middle Kingdoms end of things is speeding up a bit; but for the moment, at least it’s up again. Thanks for your patience, everybody!
